My name is Mike Button and I have lived in or near Lowestoft, Suffolk all my life. For many years I worked as a welder in the offshore gas and oil industry, which took me to Egypt, western Africa, South America and the Gulf of Mexico - as well as the gas fields in the North Sea.
I have always enjoyed doing DIY for family and friends, whether it be changing a plug or fitting a new kitchen. I started Mike's Home DIY & Gardening Maintenance Services in May 2007 to provide an affordable, high quality service to people in the Lowestoft area who don't have the time or skills to 'Do It Themselves'.
